MU Study Abroad Photo Contest Winner

Letna Hill: MU Photo Contest Winner

My photo, “Prague from Letna Hill”, was chosen as the “People’s Choice Award” winner in the 2013 MU International Center photo contest.

My favorite photo from my Prague study abroad experience last summer, Prague from Letna Hill, was chosen for the “People’s Choice Award” in the 2013 University of Missouri International Center photo contest. I entered this photo to the contest last semester, and it was selected out of hundreds of entries to make it into the select top 25 finalists. The top 25 were then put up for a public vote online. My photo won the vote!

This is the first real photo award I’ve won, and I’m incredibly excited. I spent quite a bit of time planning, executing and editing this shot, and it all paid off. My photo is now being used for MU International Center promotional materials, including their Facebook page and website!

20×20 Presentation

As a contest winner, I was invited to attend an International Center luncheon and present 20 of my study abroad photos in a “Pecha Kucha 20×20” format. Each one of my 20 photos was shown on screen for 20 seconds while I described my experiences. You can see the entire seven minute presentation on YouTube below:
